FINAL MAJOR PROJECT: ISN'T IT FITTING?
In contemporary society, it is common to publicly speak out on topics to vocalise criticism. The fashion industry is often in the firing line for public scrutiny for its problematic opinions and appropriation of culturally sensitive material. Although you may feel the fashion industry is not offensive, there’s no doubt they have been the culprits for some questionable political choices and not just bad garments. Ignorance towards political correctness in the context of race has manifested itself throughout a number of fashion’s latest products and communications. So the work that I’m making poses the question is the fashion industry more flawed than what we would think at first?
